A day of exploration, creativity and connection!

In the afternoon, Dr. Lyle Wilson will introduce Wu Ji or Primordial Qigong: the 5 virtues associated with the 5 Elements of Classical Chinese Medicine.  Qigong, pronounced “chi gong,” was developed in China thousands of years ago as part of traditional Chinese medicine. It involves coordinating movement, breathing and meditation, to optimize energy within the body, mind, and spirit, with the goal of improving and maintaining health and well-being.

The day will close with “Listening for the Spirit:  The Poetry of Rumi” with Sara Towe Horsfall, Ph.D, Professor, Sociology, Frederick Community College (Texas Wesleyan University, Rtd.) An opportunity to allow the spirit of poetry to move us in beauty and words.
