A Resource Fair for the local community to serve those in need (homeless, indigent, low income). will be held at Zion UCC on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 from 12 noon to 4 pm. Some of the groups present will include CASA, Community Action Council, Children In Need, Medication First, and Change Health System, to name just a few. There will be resource information available as well, such as lists of clothing and food banks.
Season of Nonviolence and Peacemaking January 30 - April 4
The official Season for Nonviolence begins by marking the anniversary of the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi on January 30 and ends on the April 4 anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. Between are 64 days of practice of the principles of Gandhi, King, and others to bring about peace and nonviolence in our world today.
