Hagerstown Area Religious Council
The Hagerstown Area Religious Council (HARC) is a coalition of churches and houses of faith in the Hagerstown area of Washington County.
This course teaches you how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. The training gives you the skills you need to provide initial help and support to someone who may be experiencing a crisis.
Cost: $25 per person (includes training manual, continental breakfast, soup & salad lunch)
This course will be taught by William Brick, a certified MHFA instructor and current instructor at Brook Lane Health Services. William has been teaching this course for more than 5 years and is recognized as a skilled instructor, providing valuable insights and techniques that attendees can immediately put into practice.

The official Season for Nonviolence begins by marking the anniversary of the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi on January 30 and ends on the April 4 anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. Between are 64 days of practice of the principles of Gandhi, King, and others to bring about peace and nonviolence in our world today.
