HARC Monthly Meeting
We are excited to welcome Rev. Donald L. Marbury as a speaker at our next HARC meeting! Rev. Marbury is the senior pastor of Ebenezer AME Church in Hagerstown and author of the acclaimed book “MY PEOPLE, MY PEOPLE, MY GOD!” He left a 27-year career in 1997 as a top public broadcasting executive, television and film producer, and news anchorman to pursue his call to ministry. His writings and performances of his works have earned him national and international recognition.
Our meeting will be held in-person at Hub City Vineyard in the outdoor pavilion behind the church, with plenty of space to spread out at picnic tables. Please bring your lunch and observe COVID protocols. Please RSVP if you plan to attend so we can get an idea of how many people to expect. We also plan to stream the meeting live on the HARC Facebook page for those who are not able to attend.
HARC meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 12:30 pm, except July and August, with an occasional evening meeting. When meeting in-person, the location typically rotates among different houses of faith, giving each member congregation an opportunity to host. If in-person meetings are deemed unsafe for our members, they are held on Zoom.
The official Season for Nonviolence begins by marking the anniversary of the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi on January 30 and ends on the April 4 anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. Between are 64 days of practice of the principles of Gandhi, King, and others to bring about peace and nonviolence in our world today.
