HARC Meeting: News from Reach and Community Action Council

November 15, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

We are delighted to welcome representatives from Reach and Community Action Council (CAC) for our November HARC meeting program.

  • Jeannie Asbury, Executive Director of Reach, will share about current challenges and needs as they serve homeless and people in crisis in our community.  Reach is an affiliate member of HARC and many of our houses of worship support their work.
  • Kim Buchannan, Director of Development & Whole Family Services for CAC and Elizabeth Howe, Circles Coach will talk about the new Circles program and how the faith community can help lift families out of poverty.

Join us for a meal and fellowship at 12:00, with an introduction from our host with sharing about their faith tradition. Program begins at 12:30 and concludes no later than 1:30.  Location Trinity Lutheran Church, 15 Randolph Ave, Hagerstown.  RSVP requested.

Parking & Entrance:  We will meet in “Fellowship Hall” which is entered from Trinity’s parking lot on 15 Randolph St. There is plenty of parking there, and the entrance is accessible.

————————————————————————–

HARC meetings are typically held on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at for lunch, except July and August, with an occasional evening meeting.  When meeting in-person, the location typically rotates among different houses of faith, giving different congregations and organizations an opportunity to host.  If in-person meetings are decided to be unsafe for our members, they will be held on Zoom.
