Shepherd’s Spring Outdoor Retreat Center and C&O Canal Towpath

In-Person Event

  • Choose from 4K, 10K and half marathon hike distances
  • $10 Early-bird discount if you register by August 20
  • Enjoy Snacks & Drink stops along the way
  • All hikes conclude at Shepherd’s Spring Outdoor Retreat Center
  • Post-hike catered lunch and celebration for all hikers at Shepherd’s Spring
  • We will also be commemorating the 20th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks and highlighting HARC’s interfaith work

Half Marathon (13 miles) – 7:00 am check-in time.  Individuals $60; Families $105
10K (6.3 miles) – 8:00 am and 9:00 am check-in options.  Individuals $50; Families $85
4K (2.5 miles) – 9:30, 10:00 and 10:30 am check-in options.  Individuals $40; Families $65

Season of Nonviolence and Peacemaking January 30 - April 4

The official Season for Nonviolence begins by marking the anniversary of the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi on January 30 and ends on the April 4 anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. Between are 64 days of practice of the principles of Gandhi, King, and others to bring about peace and nonviolence in our world today.
