Hagerstown Area Religious Council
The Hagerstown Area Religious Council (HARC) is a coalition of churches and houses of faith in the Hagerstown area of Washington County.
Announcing that ZION Reformed United Church of Christ’s annual Cinderella Shop will be open every Saturday in March from 9 am to 12 noon. The Shop is located in the church, 201 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown and access to the Shop is via the alley at the rear of the church. Clean, gently used gowns are sold for $25 each, cash or check made out to REACH of Washington County. All money collected goes directly to REACH of Washington County to support their efforts to combat homelessness. Donations of clean, gently used gowns may be made by dropping gowns off at the Zion office , M-F between 9 am and 12 noon.
The official Season for Nonviolence begins by marking the anniversary of the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi on January 30 and ends on the April 4 anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. Between are 64 days of practice of the principles of Gandhi, King, and others to bring about peace and nonviolence in our world today.
