Hagerstown Area Religious Council
The Hagerstown Area Religious Council (HARC) is a coalition of churches and houses of faith in the Hagerstown area of Washington County.
St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 601 Washington Avenue, Hagerstown, MD, will conduct “Blessing of the Pets” on Saturday, September 30, from 10am until Noon. The event will be conducted on St. Mark’s parking lot, located directly across the street from the Washington Avenue entrance (parking lot is adjacent to Girls Inc.). Please bring your pets under restraint or in a pet carrier for a special blessing. Contact the church office at 301.733.7550 with any questions.
The official Season for Nonviolence begins by marking the anniversary of the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi on January 30 and ends on the April 4 anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. Between are 64 days of practice of the principles of Gandhi, King, and others to bring about peace and nonviolence in our world today.
