Hagerstown Area Religious Council
The Hagerstown Area Religious Council (HARC) is a coalition of churches and houses of faith in the Hagerstown area of Washington County.
Appearing on the Music at Saint John’s Concert Series, Sunday, February 23 at 5:00pm Cormorant’s Fancy will present a concert of “brazenly traditional music of Ireland, Scotland, and the Celtic Nations”. Cormorant’s Fancy’s compelling cross-generational lineup unites the past, present and future. Called “the area’s most energetic” Celtic band, yet they do it all with finesse! Lead singer and whistle player Margaret Folkemer-Leonard is joined by parents, the Revs. Beth and Stephen Folkemer (guitar, dulcimer, concertina, keyboards), Ryan Kozak (fiddle and vocals), and Ricky Czar (bodhrán, djembe, cajón), with frequent appearances by Irish step dancer Allyson Folkemer, and Joel Folkemer (bodhrán, bass, vocals). Celtic music is in their blood, their heritage in Ireland’s County Down and Dublin, Scotland, Wales, Northumberland, and Cornwall. They love the depth and breadth of Irish, Scottish, and all Celtic traditional music, and constantly search for the very best songs and tunes, music the band is sure you’ll love! You do not want to miss this concert! A festive reception follows the concert and a free-will offering will be received.
