Music at St. John’s Concert Series will feature The Sunderman Wind Quintet (Gettysburg College) and pianist Scott Crowne playing the music of Garth Baxter, Jenni Brandon, Frances Poulenc, and Hollis Thomas (member of St. John’s). A woodwind quintet, made up of a flute, oboe, clarinet, French horn and bassoon, provides a colorful ensemble. The works that will be played will draw upon jazz, folk, night, and, yes, frog music. Come and have an engaging and lively afternoon of music! Info: 301-733-2560 x108.
The HARC Interfaith Thanksgiving Service held on Sunday, November 24, was a beautiful event full of unity amid appreciation of our differences. The multi-colored leaves on the bulletin cover illustrated this harmony: "[they] are all alike, yet all different. And they fit perfectly together." You can view the recording on Facebook or it will soon be posted on Benevola UMC's YouTube page. Many thanks to the many participants who made this service amazing, and to Benevola United Methodist Church for hosting this year.
