Hagerstown Area Religious Council
The Hagerstown Area Religious Council (HARC) is a coalition of churches and houses of faith in the Hagerstown area of Washington County.
The April HARC meeting will be led by the new Washington County Black Professionals Network and will feature a panel of local Black business owners. These entrepreneurs will share their joys and challenges, what they have to offer the community, and how the faith community can help them succeed.
Join us for lunch and fellowship, sharing of our host’s faith tradition, followed by the program. Thank you to Grace United Methodist Church for hosting the meeting and our meal. Contributions toward the meal can be made via a free-will offering basket. RSVP requested by Friday, April 14 at noon so we can get a count for lunch.
Parking is available in a large lot on Church Street directly across from the church as well as street parking. Look for signs for the entrance from Church St. The church is handicap accessible.

HARC meetings are typically held on the 2nd Tuesday of every month for lunch, except July and August, with an occasional evening meeting. When meeting in-person, the location typically rotates among different houses of faith, giving different congregations and organizations an opportunity to host. Some meetings will be recorded for later viewing, as we are able and the subject allows.
The HARC Interfaith Thanksgiving Service held on Sunday, November 24, was a beautiful event full of unity amid appreciation of our differences. The multi-colored leaves on the bulletin cover illustrated this harmony: "[they] are all alike, yet all different. And they fit perfectly together." You can view the recording on Facebook or it will soon be posted on Benevola UMC's YouTube page. Many thanks to the many participants who made this service amazing, and to Benevola United Methodist Church for hosting this year.
