Hagerstown Area Religious Council
The Hagerstown Area Religious Council (HARC) is a coalition of churches and houses of faith in the Hagerstown area of Washington County.
First Christian Church of Boonsboro is having a yard sale during Boonsboro Days. Friday, September 9th – 9 am until ?, Saturday, September 10th – 9 am until ?. They will also have a quilt raffle (see picture). Tickets available during the yard sale. Tickets will also be available by contacting the church at 301-432-2278 or 240-625-1886 (church secretary). Quilt made by Pastor Ben Manning’s wife, Carolyn Manning. Tickets are $2 for 1, $5 for 8, $10 for 20. Drawing to be held Sunday before Thanksgiving. Need not be present to win. Proceeds to be donated to not-for-profit organizations.
The official Season for Nonviolence begins by marking the anniversary of the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi on January 30 and ends on the April 4 anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. Between are 64 days of practice of the principles of Gandhi, King, and others to bring about peace and nonviolence in our world today.
