Community Day: Allure of the Near East

Celebrate Allure of the Near East: Treasures from the Huntington Museum of Art a culturally themed with a Community Day Sunday, August 14, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts. Activities begin at 1 p.m., with an Interfaith discussion in the gallery; from 2 to 4 p.m., learn about the sitar and enjoy live performances and demonstrations by Sitar Niketan; and at 2:30 p.m. join Museum Director Sarah Hall in the galleries for a Director’s Highlight tour. Throughout the day kids can make and take a Near Eastern-inspired project with Samir Razzak. The event is free. The museum is at 401 Museum Drive, Hagerstown.

Interfaith Community Thanksgiving Service

Sunday, November 20 at 4:30 pm, Saint Ann Catholic Church. A unique and uplifting interfaith service of thanks, sponsored by the Hagerstown Area Religious Council (HARC). More information to come.
