Hagerstown Area Religious Council
The Hagerstown Area Religious Council (HARC) is a coalition of churches and houses of faith in the Hagerstown area of Washington County.
Reach is hosting a Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) event on February 24, 2024. We want to raise awareness and raise critical funds to continue making an impact in Washington County. We are looking for Team Captains, Sponsors, and walkers to join us for the Coldest Night of the Year and would love your energy with us. We are excited for the 2nd year for Reach of Washington County, and still the only location in the state of Maryland.
Need inspiration for a team name, blow on over to www.cnoy.com/location/hagerstown to see some “cool” and clever team names!
Sponsors are highlighted on Reach’s CNOY page and the national CNOY page www.cnoy.com/sponsors! You can download a sponsor packet here.
What Is It? The Coldest Night of the Year is a winterrific family-friendly walk to raise money for local charities serving people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness. Team up, fundraise, walk, and gather for good… because it’s cold out there!
When and Where? February 24, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. at Hagerstown Community College’s ARCC.
Why? We want to raise awareness and raise critical funds to continue making an impact in our community. Reach’s mission is to support and strengthen the community by preventing and resolving homelessness in Washington County. We empower individuals and families to move toward independence and stability through compassion, education, advocacy and resources.
What Does a Team Captain Do, Exactly? To sum it up, Team Captains register a team online, invite others (friends, family, coworkers) to join in, raise money and encourage their team to do the same, and make sure their teammates check-in and stick together on CNOY Day.
Earn a CNOY Winter Beanie: This winter beanie is CNOY’s way of saying thanks to all walkers who fundraise $150 or more (for adults 18 and older), or $75 (for youth 17 and under).
