A Day to Celebrate! Blessing of the Animals
The Feast of Saint Francis is observed by Christians around the world every year on or about October 4 to commemorate the life of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and the environment. St. Mark’s will celebrate this Feast on Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 10 AM to Noon with a special service in our parking lot located next to Girls’ Inc. Please bring your pets under restraint or in a pet carrier for a special blessing.
The official Season for Nonviolence begins by marking the anniversary of the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi on January 30 and ends on the April 4 anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. Between are 64 days of practice of the principles of Gandhi, King, and others to bring about peace and nonviolence in our world today.
