Maryland Sun Bucks Program
On July 1, 2024, Governor Moore announced the launching of the Maryland Sun Bucks program. Washington County DSS is very excited to help administer this program, which will help families buy groceries during the summer.
Maryland Sun Bucks help families with school-aged children who receive free or reduced-price meals buy groceries during the summer break from school. Families who qualify will receive $40 for June, July and August (a total of $120) for each eligible student.
For further information about the Sun Bucks program, you can click this link. You can read the Governor’s full press release here.
Attached is a message from Secretary Lopez with more information for community partners. Also attached are flyers (in English and Spanish) that you can share regarding the program.
