Hagerstown Area Religious Council
The Hagerstown Area Religious Council (HARC) is a coalition of churches and houses of faith in the Hagerstown area of Washington County.
The recital by Candice Mowbray and Danny Webber, features tango-inspired music by Argentinian composer Maximo Diego Pujol, ethereal works by American musician Ralph Towner, and evocative compositions by Brazilian guitarist/pianist Egberto Gismonti. Also included on the program is the duo’s transcription of Duke Ellington’s Fleurette Africaine. The premiere can be viewed at Facebook.com/stjohnshagerstown, (a link to the recital will be posted) or after the premiere on the church’s website www.stjohnshagerstown.org under the FB & Worship tab (Click link for Classical Guitarists recital).
This annual event is FREE and open to the public. A wonderful opportunity to see the interiors of historic downtown Hagerstown houses of worship. Learn about the architecture and ecumenical heritage from docents and guides. Music, refreshments and local art will be featured at some locations.
