The Hagerstown Area Religious Council (HARC) is a coalition of churches and houses of faith in the Hagerstown area of Washington County.
Church Women United will celebrate May Friendship Day on Friday, May 17, 2024 at the Manor Church of the Brethren, 18511 Manor Church Road, Boonsboro, MD 21713.
Dinner begins at 6:00 and Cost: $15.00 Menu: Pork BBQ sandwich, mac and cheese, cole slaw, dessert, and drinks.

Program begins at 6:45. Speaker will be Marty Blake, coordinator of health kits distributed to homeless students in Washington County Schools. Young Christian Women Awards will be presented. If you would like to nominate a woman between the ages of 21 and 40 who is involved in ministry, please send her name and a brief biography to Tammy Coyle or Debbie Keefer. Also it is suggested that she attend May Friendship Day as your guest.
CWU is collecting health kits for small children. The kits consist of one of each item: hand towel, wash cloth, comb, bar of mild soap (Ivory), child size toothbrush, and child’s toothpaste. Please put all items in a gallon sealable bag. Thank YOU for your support!

The official Season for Nonviolence begins by marking the anniversary of the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi on January 30 and ends on the April 4 anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. Between are 64 days of practice of the principles of Gandhi, King, and others to bring about peace and nonviolence in our world today.
