Hagerstown Area Religious Council
The Hagerstown Area Religious Council (HARC) is a coalition of churches and houses of faith in the Hagerstown area of Washington County.
A worship service for healing and hope will be held at Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren on Wednesday, December 18. A light meal of soup and bread will be served at 6pm, followed by a short worship service at 6:30, and refreshments to follow. All are welcome! Come as you are.
The Blue Christmas service will include readings of scripture, poems, signing, candle lighting, and anointing for those who desire healing. We hope this opportunity provides healing for those who find Christmastime to be difficult for those experiencing some sort of loss.
The official Season for Nonviolence begins by marking the anniversary of the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi on January 30 and ends on the April 4 anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. Between are 64 days of practice of the principles of Gandhi, King, and others to bring about peace and nonviolence in our world today.
