A Day to Celebrate! Blessing of the Animals
The Feast of Saint Francis is observed by Christians around the world every year on or about October 4 to commemorate the life of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and the environment. St. Mark’s will celebrate this Feast on Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 10 AM to Noon with a special service in our parking lot located next to Girls’ Inc. Please bring your pets under restraint or in a pet carrier for a special blessing.
This annual event is FREE and open to the public. A wonderful opportunity to see the interiors of historic downtown Hagerstown houses of worship. Learn about the architecture and ecumenical heritage from docents and guides. Music, refreshments and local art will be featured at some locations.
