
About this event
To honor the International Day of Peace, an Interfaith Progressive Dinner will be held at three different local houses of worship with four faith traditions participating. Different portions of a meal will be served at each location as we progressively move as one group from place to place
This is an opportunity to:
- Learn about different faith traditions
- Sample spiritually and culturally relevant foods
- Build Community
Saturday, September 20 · 5 – 9 pm EDT
Tickets: $25 per person general admission, $10 for students (including college). Event is limited to a maximum of 100 people. Ticket deadline is September 12, 2025.

Participating Faith Traditions:

- Hebron Mennonite Church (Christian)
- Nipponzan Myohoji Buddhist Temple (Buddhist)
- Congregation B’Nai Abraham (Jewish, Reformed)
- Islamic Society of Western Maryland (Muslim)
Event schedule:
- Stop 1: 5:00-6:30 pm at Hebron Mennonite Church, 13315 Highlane St, Hagerstown., MD 21742. Learn about the Mennonite tradition and the Buddhist tradition, with a Japanese Noodle Slide soup appetizer and sampling of food typical of the local Mennonites.
- Stop 2: 6:45-7:45 pm at Congregation B’Nai Abraham, 53 E. Baltimore St. Hagerstown, MD 21740. Learn about Judaism while sampling traditional Jewish foods.
- Stop 3: 8:00-9:00 pm at the Islamic Society of Western Maryland, 2036 Day Rd Hagerstown, MD 21740. Learn about the Muslim faith while enjoying a variety of desserts, including traditional Pakistani dishes.
