REACH of Washington County is currently preparing for their upcoming Cold Weather Shelter season. They need volunteers to help run the shelter. They have several weeks open and are looking for volunteers to coordinate a week, coordinate a partial week, single volunteer nights, or provide and serve a meal. This is a wonderful way to help support our community’s most vulnerable population. Being at REACH gives homeless individuals a warm bed and meal and access to all of their programs to help them achieve independence. They shelter, on average, about 220 individuals for over 6,500 bed nights each season. The CWS opens the last weekend of October and runs until the first weekend of April. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the Shelter Administrator, Liz Yingling, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
