The Hagerstown Area Religious Council (HARC) is a coalition of churches and houses of faith in the Hagerstown area of Washington County.
Join Trinity Lutheran Church,15 Randolph Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland as they kick off their 2024-2025 Music Concert Series with a Recital of Prayer and Reflection of violin, voice and piano by The McClinton Family on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 4 p.m. The recital of Prayer and Reflection will include music
by J.S. Bach, Leonard Bernstein, David Lanz, Rebecca Clarke, Greg Maroney, Moses Hogan, Paul Simon and others.
Katelyn E. McClinton – Katelyn has played the violin since 4th grade. She received her B.M. in Violin Performance at Sunderman Conservatory at Gettysburg College, M.M. in Violin Performance at Towson University and recently in May of 2024 graduated with her D.M.A. in Violin Performance from Shenandoah Conservatory at Shenandoah University. She performs solo, with the Gettysburg Chamber Orchestra and other various groups. She offers violin lessons to all ages and teaches in Columbia and Hagerstown.
Rev. Brian A. McClinton – Brian is a pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (E.L.C.A.) serving St. Mark’s here in Hagerstown. He began his music studies in voice at Newark Performing Arts high school, in Newark, New Jersey, which was one of the schools on which the movie FAME was based. He received a B.A.in Musical Theater and Psychology at Gettysburg College and a Master of Divinity at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg. Brian also writes and arranges music for various occasions. He has sung with the prestigious Harrisburg Singers for many years, has performed in local community theater in Hanover, Pa., and has recently joined the Hagerstown Choral Arts. He is currently finishing up his studies for a Doctor of Ministry in Hymnody from United Lutheran Seminary.
Sr. Megan McClinton – Megan is a Deaconess in the Deaconess Community of the E.L.C.A. and serves as the Minster of Music at Trinity Lutheran Church where she is a liturgist who leads worship and oversees all music programs. She began her musical education in elementary school. Her skills include accomplishments in piano, organ, handbells and choirs. Megan received her Master of Arts in Religion at Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg and the Presiding Bishop’s Certificate in Church Music where she studied under prominent musicians Dr. Robert Lau and Dr. Dexter Weikel.
