Hagerstown Area Religious Council
The Hagerstown Area Religious Council (HARC) is a coalition of churches and houses of faith in the Hagerstown area of Washington County.
HCV is excited to announce that they have a Compassion weekend scheduled for October 12th & 13th of 2024. The weekend begins with the 1st annual Tie Dye Run for Freedom on Saturday, with ALL proceeds from the run going to Compassion. The weekend continues with Compassion Sunday @ HCV on Sunday morning at 9:00 & 11:00. The weekend concludes with a Community Worship night on Sunday evening at 6:00 that includes worship leaders from five different churches. Their goal for the weekend is to see 200 children sponsored through Compassion International. Don’t miss out on all that God is doing through Compassion & help us bring an end to child exploitation & poverty. Hope to see you.
The official Season for Nonviolence begins by marking the anniversary of the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi on January 30 and ends on the April 4 anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. Between are 64 days of practice of the principles of Gandhi, King, and others to bring about peace and nonviolence in our world today.
