HARC Meeting: “Enough for our Children” in Hancock

May 14, 2019 @ 12:30 pm - 1:45 pm

We continue our vision of “Enough for our Children” in Hancock, where we will hear from Debbie Cohill, Executive Director of the Interfaith Service Coalition (ISC).  ISC is a coalition of churches in the Hancock area with a mission to assist individuals and families in times of need, whether it’s physical, emotional, financial or spiritual.  We will learn about the needs and challenges in the Hancock area, the work Interfaith Service Coalition is already doing to address the needs, and gaps that still exist.  Our meeting will be held in Martha’s House, ISC’s brand new center for activities and meals for children and youths.  Come hear about the exciting work God is doing through the Hancock area faith community and consider how we might learn from them and partner together to address the gaps in Washington County.

Lunch will be provided by Interfaith Service Coalition with a free-will offering basket.  If you plan to attend, please RSVP online by Friday, May 10 so we can get a head-count (if replying by email, please let us know of any dietary preferences/concerns).  Please know that you are welcome to come even if you forget to RSVP, but the notice does help with food estimates and seating arrangements.

HARC meets on the 2nd Tuesday of every month except July and August. The meeting usually rotates to different houses of faith, giving each an opportunity to host. Meeting time is at 12:30 p.m. for lunch with occasional evening meetings for special programs.

Clergy and/or lay representatives of any Washington County house of worship or faith-based organization are welcome to participate. Only supporting members are eligible to vote.  Other members of the community are also welcome to attend.
