CANCELLED! Grace Concert Series – Dominic Fiacco

The next concert of the 2024-2025 Season of the Music at Grace Concert Series will be performed by Dominic Fiacco on Sunday, March 9 at 4 p.m. This concert is open to all and is free of charge. A free-will offering is accepted to keep the concert series operating.
Dominic Fiacco is a sophomore at the Eastman School of Music, where he studies with Nathan Laube. He is a VanDelinder Fellow at Christ Church Rochester and sings in Stephen Kennedy’s Schola Cantorum.
Fiacco has given recitals at the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine in New York City and at the Cadet Chapel at West Point. In middle and high school, he attended several summer intensives in Philadelphia, where he performed at the Curtis Institute of Music and on the Wanamaker Organ, the world’s second largest instrument. As a senior in high school, he played the dedicatory recital on Hamilton College’s new organ, later appearing with the Hamilton College Orchestra as organ soloist. Fiacco also performed at the Organ Historical Society’s 2024 national convention in Baltimore. Finally, Fiacco was named to the 20 under 30 Class of 2023 by The Diapason, the oldest American scholarly journal dedicated to the organ.
Fiacco has also won prizes in several piano competitions, remaining active as a collaborative pianist. He has performed on the Society for New Music’s Rising Stars programs on both piano and organ. Fiacco previously studied with Stephen Best on organ and Sar-Shalom Strong on piano, both of whom lecture at Hamilton College. Finally, he has received multiple scholarships, including the Eastman School of Music’s Dean’s Performance Award.

Season of Nonviolence and Peacemaking January 30 - April 4

The official Season for Nonviolence begins by marking the anniversary of the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi on January 30 and ends on the April 4 anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. Between are 64 days of practice of the principles of Gandhi, King, and others to bring about peace and nonviolence in our world today.
