Free Food – Farmers to Family Food Boxes

October 24, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Food will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis to those in need in our community.  There are no income restrictions on the food giveaway.  This event is made possible through the USDA’s Farmers to Family Food Box Program and plans are to repeat the giveaway on October 31.  Every family receives 15 lbs of produce, 5 lbs of meat, 5 lbs of dairy and 1 gallon of milk.  Anyone from your church or ministry interested in volunteering or with questions should contact Patty Mays at 304-279-5181.
(Volunteers are needed at 8 am to help offload the truck)

HARC Hike

The HARC Hike for Hunger & Hope will be an in-person event (with a virtual option)! The main hike date is set for Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Shepherd's Spring Outdoor Retreat Center with safe social distancing and appropriate COVID protocols. Proceeds will benefit HARC programs, including Micah's Backpack, which continues to provide nutritious food to more than 1,000 food-insecure children in Washington County.
