4th Annual Global Feast for Peace

The Interfaith Coalition of Washington County is hosting their 4th Annual Global Feast for Peace, Sunday Sept 22, 2019 at 4:30 p.m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 18313 Lappans Rd., Boonsbosor MD.  The Global Feast for Peace is part of the U.N. sponsored International Day of Peace, and was created to build community, and deepen interfaith friendships.

Keynote speaker Don Stevenson will discuss “Peace, Prayer, and the Interfaith Way”.  Stevenson, a retired UCC Minister and Adjunct Instructor of Philosophy, Ethics, & World Religion at Hagerstown Community College, began the Interfaith Coalition in 2001.

The feast will include enticing dishes from India, provided by Mango Grill, the United States, provided by Edible Arrangements and Hempen Hill, and much more.  It will also feature a Japanese Noodle Float, where diners catch noodles with chopsticks.

The HARC Hike for Hunger & Hope will be an in-person event (with a virtual option)! The main hike date is set for Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Shepherd's Spring Outdoor Retreat Center with safe social distancing and appropriate COVID protocols. Proceeds will benefit HARC programs, including Micah's Backpack, which continues to provide nutritious food to more than 1,000 food-insecure children in Washington County.
