Hagerstown Area Religious Council
The Hagerstown Area Religious Council (HARC) is a coalition of churches and houses of faith in the Hagerstown area of Washington County.
The theme for the event is “Hope in Healing … Experiencing the Journey, Dealing with the Struggles of Addiction & Mental Health” Other health agencies, city and state officials, recovery houses, rehab centers, churches, and people with personal experiences are invited. Job training and recruiting will also be offered by local businesses.
The goal of the Health Summit is to improve the lives of individuals living with mental health challenges and substance use disorders. Experts say that early intervention strategies can reduce the impact of substance use and mental disorders in our underserved communities
