St. John’s Shelter seeks live-in caretaker

The St. John’s Shelter, a short-term shelter designed as a “halfway house” between homelessness and being in a home, is looking for live-in caretaker.

This position requires physical labor to prep units for new tenants, clean units upon tenant departure, general maintenance functions, problem-solving, good communication skills, and a calm demeanor.

The caretaker will live on site in the shelter.  They will be provided a 3-room apartment (unit 16-2).  Heat, electricity, local telephone, and internet service are also provided.  The caretaker is required to be on site every day, but they may have part-time employment elsewhere, providing they return to the Shelter by 4 p.m.
