Sacred Listening Circles

Two programs of group spiritual companionship are being offered in our community for this coming year.  Rev. Ed Poling, a retired pastor and trained spiritual director, is offering this program of deepening spirituality in two formats.

  • Clergy program on the first Monday morning of the month at Shepherd’s Spring Outdoor Ministry Center from October 1 to May 6.
  • Lay program on the first Tuesday evening of the month at Haven Lutheran Church, Hagerstown from October 2 to May 7.

Sacred Listening Circles is a small group experience that gathers for prayer, faith-sharing and listening to the Spirit.  In addition to meeting, participants will read The Rebirthing of God: Christianity’s Struggle for New Beginnings by John Philip Newell. Each program will start in early October. An introductory meeting will be held later this month.
