HARC Meeting: Dr. Boyd Michael, Superintendent of Schools for Washington County

Event Date: February 12, 2019 at 12:30 pm Event Location: First Christian Church, 1345 Potomac Ave., Hagerstown

HARC kicks of our 2019 vision of “Enough for our Children” with guest speaker Dr. Boyd Michael, Superintendent of Schools for Washington County.  Dr. Michael will talk about the changing needs and challenges of our children in Washington County.  We look forward to learning from his 39 years of experience in teaching and administration with Washington County Public Schools.  This will be a time to consider what more we might do as a faith community to ensure our children have “enough” to thrive.

Lunch will be provided by First Christian Church with a free-will offering basket.  If you plan to attend, please RSVP by Friday, February 8.  RSVP online or by email to jackcastle48@gmail.com so we can get a head-count (if replying by email, please let us know of any dietary preferences/concerns).  Please know that you are welcome to come even if you forget to RSVP, but the notice does help with food estimates and seating arrangements.

HARC meets on the 2nd Tuesday of every month except July and August. The meeting usually rotates to different houses of faith, giving each an opportunity to host. Meeting time is at 12:30 p.m. for lunch with occasional evening meetings for special programs.

Clergy and/or lay representatives of any Washington County house of worship or faith-based organization are welcome to participate. Only supporting members are eligible to vote.  Other members of the community are also welcome to attend.
