Who Should Attend?

 If you are concerned that a loved one is at risk for overdosing on heroin or a prescription pain medication, this training is for you.

What will you learn?

 Training Participants will learn:

  • Opioid types
  • How to recognize, respond to , and prevent an opioid overdose
  • How to administer intra-nasal naloxone to reverse an overdose.

What is Naloxone?

 It is a prescription medication that reverses an opioid overdose. It cannot be used to get high and it is not addictive.

What will I get for completing the training?

 You will receive a certification valid for two years, Naloxone, an overdose prevention kit, and all other supplies necessary to intervene in the event of an overdose. (Residency restrictions apply for the naloxone prescription)
